So another day has come and gone. At least today is Friday! For those of you who know what I have been doing at work lately - I am STILL working my way through our company contact list, although I am now on my 2nd round of markups from Bob so there aren't as many as the first time. For those of you who aren't familiar with my latest project at work, I am in charge of updating our company contact list (in which there are 2,810 entries) that hasn't been updated in about 5 years. This is a very tedious and boring task to say the least! Once I am done I am going to bring home all the copies of the markups and sit in front of the paper shredder with a bottle of wine and shred my misery!
Josh's birthday is coming up soon (Oct 12th) and I have no idea what to get him at this point. Every time that he wants something, he usually just goes and gets it - even when he knows his birthday or Christmas are coming up :::grrrr:::
Connor has been waking up a little earlier than I like lately (5:50 has been his favorite over the last week) so we have been keeping him up about a half hour later and this seems to be working. Last night we wanted to take him to the park but by the time that he finished dinner, it was too dark for the park (look, I can rhyme!) so we decided to just go for a wagon ride. Josh was pulling him and I was walking behind the wagon and every now and then I would "get" him. Well, he was wanting none of that and would push my hand away yelling at me "NO!" and then if I continued, he would yell at me to "be nice!". However, he thinks nothing of being nice as he is making me lay on his bedroom floor so that he can body slam me over and over again!
Apparently he has aquired Josh's taste for spices because now he won't eat his dinner without salt and pepper - although he does get his love of ketchup from my side of the family. To him, ketchup isn't a condiment, it's a side dish!
Halloween is coming up fast and we are looking at costumes - but I can't tell you what they are (there are only a select few that know) or we would ruin the surprise. It's going to be cute though!
Plans for the weekend include going to class tomorrow, another "added value" class, and then maybe on Sunday taking Connor on the Wilmington & Western Railroad - a steam engine train that takes 1 1/2 or 2 1/1 hour tours through the Hockessin area with a stopover at a picnic grounds area. He loves trains, everytime the train behind our house goes by, you can see him running towards the door saying "woo woo!". We have even had to turn around and sit in a parking lot near the train tracks when a train came by after we already crossed the tracks so he could watch it! I will post pics of the Sunday excursion (if we make it, there are only two times the train leaves, one is at lunch time and the other is at nap time!)
Well - I think that's it for now - it's time to get back to the fun fun task of updating the contacts list!
